Are you an LGBT
Parent living in the Richmond metropolitan area?
With
children living with you, or perhaps living with others or even grown
up?
Our Goal: to
Support LGBT Parents and Strengthen their Families
You
are invited to a new support group for LGBT Parents!
When: 1st
and 3rd Mondays (beginning May 18), 6:30
– 8:00 P.M.
Where:
Gay Community Center of Richmond, 1470 Sherwood Avenue, Richmond.
What:
Facilitated Discussion for LGBT Parents.

A qualified professional
from The Parents Support Project at SCAN facilitates the discussion,
6:30 – 8:00 P.M. Topics are determined by the group participants;
and discussion is focused on building your strengths and
problem-solving. Information
on community resources, as indicated, will be provided.

Childcare is available!
To make it easier for you to participate, the Parents Support
Project at SCAN provides a qualified professional to facilitate
appropriate play and education for children of the parents
participating in the group, 6:30 – 8:00 P.M.

note that this is not a
therapy group and is not designed to offer clinical support.

The Rainbow Parents Project has been
created by Metropolitan
Community Church (MCC) of Richmond, with a generous grant
from the Gay
Community Center of Richmond as well as support from the VCU School of Social Work.
Participation in the survey or any other
Rainbow Parents Project activity is open to all LGBT parents!
You do not have to participate in any religious activity, and you
do not have to be either a member or attendee of MCC Richmond.
