Special Ministry Projects
In 2010 Rev. Kenny designed Koinonia Prison Ministry with volunteers writing letters to incarcerated men and women. One letter at a time, this ministry reminds inmates of God’s love and grace. Koinonia Prison Ministry is now represented in five California prisons. He also worked with post-incarcerated men and women living with HIV, and he facilitated HIV/AIDS support groups.
His volunteer service includes singing in the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, arranging/composing choral and liturgical music, and helping congregations become "welcoming" to LGBT people. He has also served on the board of Thrivent Financial, Verdugo Hills Chapter.
Rev. Kenny has been spending his free time getting to know our fine city and sampling delicious new things in bakeries, coffee houses, and restaurants he discovers.
There is always a place for you at his table!
