September 2, Labor Day Sunday
The Sunday of Labor Day weekend is Labor Sunday, a day to lift up workers, celebrate their contributions, and support their struggles. It is also a day to commit ourselves to improving jobs so that all workers have wages, benefits, and work hours that allow them to be self-sufficient and live lives of wholeness. We will also explore finding balance and justice in securing loving work and the fullness in re-energizing rest.

August 19 - 25, Friendship Week
“Two people are better than one, for they get a better return for their work. For if one flags, the other gives support; but woe to the solitary person who falls and has no one to provide support.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10) Friends are awesome – new friends, past friends, or unknown friends. Celebrate the love of friendship this week: give a card or gift; say thank you to a friend; or extend a loving hand and be a friend.

July 2018, Sing this Song, July Hymn/Praise Song Favorites
During the month of July we will ask the congregation to write the names of favorite hymns/praise songs and place them in a jar on the piano. Each Sunday one song will be selected to sing as the offering is collected. On July 29 we will enjoy an entire service of Hymn/Praise Song Favorites. Don’t miss this service of music and blessing.
Sunday, July 15, Give Something Away Sunday
Most of us have the benefit of having more than we need. This Sunday provides an opportunity to share our “blessedness” with others. Whether we choose to buy a meal for someone serving our community or a homeless person, donate new/used shoes or a coat to someone less fortunate or give flowers to brighten the day of someone confined to their home, giving something away will have a positive impact on both the receiver and the giver. Come and worship knowing you are blessed to be a blessing!
Sunday, July 29, Shorts, Sandals, Song Favorites, & Potluck Sunday
On this Sunday, come wearing your favorite shorts & sandals as we sing favorite hymns/praise songs. Even Pastor Kenny will wear his summer liturgical garb. Don’t miss this service of music and blessing.
