Join Us In Adult Sunday School

Please join the group at 9:00 am in the Parish House. Dan Deane and Carol Anderson continue as discussion leaders and donut “bakers” (and Pastor Robin will make the coffee).

We are reading and discussing a new book, “The Phoenix Affirmations: A New Vision for the Future of Christianity.” The books were distributed and we started weekly discussions of the book last week but each week’s discussion can stand alone, so please come!

 

Alternative Prom for Richmond's Youth

First Prom of It’s Kind in the Metro Richmond Area

Richmond Organization for Sexual Minority Youth and the First Unitarian Universalist Church have partnered
together to plan an alternative prom for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, questioning and straight-ally youth of Central Virginia.

There will be finger food served, music, fun and awards given out to 'Most Glamorous', 'Best Dancer' and a runway competition. For more information, please visit www.ROSMY.org 

It will be held at 1000 Blanton Ave on May 10, 2008, from 7 P.M. to 11 P.M.. Tickets are $5 in advance (through ROSMY.org), $10 at the door.

Concert of Special Music at 7:00 P.M. by the Spirits of Joy (and friends), reception and silent auction

Sunday, June 15: 
Special Worship Service at 10:45 A.M. special music and guests; followed by picnic on the grounds at the Virginia Architecture Center (across Park Avenue from the church)
