Be among friends
MCC Richmond’s HIV/AIDS Ministry seeks to create a healthy place for men and women to learn more about HIV/AIDS and to socialize in a safe, nurturing and supportive environment, a place where HIV is a shared experience.
One of the ways we do this is through our Positive Friends and Allies monthly discussion group, a collaboration between the Fan Free Clinic and MCC Richmond. People living with the disease, family and friends concerned about a loved one, or those wishing to learn more about prevention are all welcome. Affiliation with MCC Richmond is not necessary.
Positive Friends and Allies meets on the second Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. in our basement fellowship hall (enter door off Davis). The evening consists of a light meal followed by a discussion or speaker presentation on a prearranged topic.
To talk to someone about attending Positive Friends and Allies, call us at 804-353-9477. All calls are confidential.
MCC Richmond also collaborates with local AIDS service organizations to host an annual interfaith World AIDS Day service on December 1.
