Our 2018 Strategic Planning Survey is your opportunity to share ideas, thoughts, blessings, concerns and disappointments regarding the life and ministry of the congregation. The Strategic Planning Team will use your feedback in the days ahead to start conversations about who we are as a church, where we want to go, and how we can get there.

These are exciting days in the life and ministry of MCC Richmond. In the past 18 months we have experienced a growing enthusiasm and empowering vitality for ministry. We are a changing and transforming congregation, and it is time we consider how we will further develop our ministry.

 

I believe God is speaking to us through the words of Isaiah:

 

Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. Isaiah 43:19

 

Over the next several months, there will be many opportunities for you to get involved in the strategic planning process. This process will help us collectively focus our efforts and resources in order to become the people and church that God is calling us to be.

 

As we enter this holy time, I encourage you to:

• Be open to the need for change

• Listen and share without judgment or an agenda

• Become present to God, one another, and our community

• Engage in relevant spiritual practices, such as prayer

• Experiment with new ideas and innovations

• See what we can learn from each experiment

 

God has and will continue to touch lives and hearts through the ministries of our church. Thank you for your part in bringing a spirit of transformation and blessing to MCC Richmond.
