We are one community
“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God.” Peter 2:9
Members of MCC Richmond and MCC DC took communion on the street before the Equality March for Unity and Pride in Washington, DC on June 11, 2017. We were led by our pastor, Rev Kenny Callaghan.
At MCC Richmond, we believe that being part of a sacred community transforms our lives. When we’re allowed to be ourselves, to let our hair down and talk about our worries, hopes and dreams, our spirit rejoices and we become the people whom God intends us to be.
MCC Richmond has several ministries that help us connect with each other and with the larger community.
Our Ministry of Care is composed of clergy and lay people who make hospital visits, provide transportation, pray, and offer so much more in caring support of members and friends of MCC Richmond.

CARES for all people is this ministry's core value. We minister to spiritual and physical needs through prayer, supportive dialogue, and personal interaction. We are our communities’ keeper by Caring At the Risk of Evolving Spiritually. Click here to contact the Ministry of Care Hotline by calling the church office.

Our Involvement Ministry makes sure that every person who comes through our doors feels welcomed and appreciated. Fellowship is encouraged through church activities, socials and outings. This ministry also helps newcomers through the process of becoming a member.
The many pot luck and holiday dinners held throughout the year are organized by our Friendship Ministry. Volunteers set up for these events, cook (sometimes for a crowd of over 100), and clean up … all with a lot of love, laughter and teamwork.
Finally, our Country Dance Ministry offers an open, supportive and body affirming opportunity for casual social interaction, fun and exercise at Babe's of Carytown on Tuesday nights from 8 to 10pm. (Lessons are from 8 to 9pm.)
